This lovely Montepulciano d'Abruzzo comes from the house of Italo Pietrantonj, a family winery that has been making wine in the same estate in the small town of Vitorita since 1830. The black label Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is one that can stand up to the big boys. This wine is full of dried floral and fruit notes complemented by soft leather and earthy aromas. Montepulciano's deep color, its fulsome perfume, and soft but thick body create a wine great for many food pairings and occasions.
